How long til dro drops off my file

Hi I got a dro 12th may 2015, so will be 6 years on 12th may next month.
I have saved up a small deposit and looking to get a mortgage.

Is there a precise date the dro will drop off, or can there be a lag, I'm looking for brokers but not sure wether to just explain to the broker I might have a dro on my file or wait then tell them I had a dro previously.

My credit history since the dro has been not too bad, so I'm hopefull I might get approved.
But I'm keen to get started as I'm paying £500 per month rent, and rather that went to my own mortgage.

The DRO will drop off your file on 12th May, so any lenders won't see it, however if you're looking at your own credit files, depending on when it updates it may take up to 30 days for you to see the changes

Ah right, so on the 13th any checks done wouldn't see it, but I would maybe see it if I logged onto Experian and looked at my own file.
Thanks for that, will start looking around for a broker now.
