I'm glad you had a lovely time in London/Essex and got to eat the fab food. Well done on getting the house as clean as you did and getting to spend some time with your brother for his birthday. The house clean must be a great relief.
Financially, having 3 NSD's sounds like you did amazing. It really won't be long before you get to your £5k goal.
My daily budgeting is working for me so far. I can't do the same thing with NSD's as you do as I need to spend more than my daily allowance on some things but I can save for the end of the month and transfer whatever wasn't spent to my slush fund at that point. This is going to really help me, so thank you for that little push.
I hope all is well with you.

Hohhhh. Lee. Hell.
Well, last week was a 126 hour week at work and those preceding weren’t much better. I’m shattered.
Got my first jab yesterday morning and basically slept ever since. It’s completely knocked me sideways, presumably because I didn’t have any reserves left.
Even off today, the emails and instant messages from work have been relentless...I’ve completely run dry though, so I’m ignoring until tomorrow. Not leaving the house meant running out of food and living off takeout...no time or energy to cook. And not leaving the house also meant far less moving around...so I’ve also put all the weight back on and completely lost track of my finances to boot.
Still, managed to pull myself together long enough to make a pretty dinner tonight ☺️ I’m impressed considering standing up for more than five minutes makes me want to lie down.
This is a turkey, spinach and roasted red pepper burger with a whipped artichoke feta spread and pickled red onions on a charcoal bun. So. Good.
Also visited my family over the weekend which involved three expensive meals out and lots of treats etc. I don’t think my finances are too bad though - but I’m so far behind on the daily budget, I’m just going to transfer everything that’s left in my current account to my slush fund when I get paid next Wednesday, and start again then. Then, this weekend I’m going to put a few more hours into getting my nutrition qualifications...so maybe I can leave the job that has me chained to my laptop until I fall over 😂. I’ll miss the pay but definitely not the stress! Until then, I’m just going to have to put up with it.I hope you have all been enjoying a nifty, thrifty May and are looking forward to the bank holiday break!Short termLong term
