PLEASE READ BEFORE POSTING: Hello Forumites! In order to help keep the Forum a useful, safe and friendly place for our users, discussions around non-MoneySaving matters are not permitted per the Forum rules. While we understand that mentioning house prices may sometimes be relevant to a user's specific MoneySaving situation, we ask that you please avoid veering into broad, general debates about the market, the economy and politics, as these can unfortunately lead to abusive or hateful behaviour. Thank you @BookWorm225 and @user1977 for the information. This is enough for me to know and I can also search further in the link you gave. I do not want to always open a new thread when I search for some information, which is already discussed somehow or under discussion. Also I am only looking at the general understandings first before making decisions.

Good tip to learn to, thanks. I will search for the person first to see whether they are still active before asking the question.

up to you, but different forums work differently. Here other than a few long running threads, most are focussed on one topic and situation. The benefit is everyone reading the OP knows that's the background and there's no confusion about who's scenario is being responded to. Its okay to start a new thread if you have a question that's not already answered elsewhere.
