Boost Energy pre-payment issue
Hi There
Apologies if I have posted this in the wrong area, Ive not been in the forum for sometime but have always found it very helpful. When we moved to our current property we inherited a PAYG meter at the time we just thought we would carry on with it as it seemed very convenient we signed up to Boost (OVO) with a great app for the phone that let you monitor everything on the go, the system has now changed somewhat and I decided today that it was time to look around at other suppliers. On the comparison sites I found it a little confusing because there was no option to get rid of the prepayment aspect of our energy deal so I rang Uswitch, they told me that they could not offer anything because of the Prepayment meter and that I would need to contact Boost and get switched over to a standard meter deal.
I did this and got the following response - 'no we cannot move you over to anything like that', I asked why and was asked - 'Do I have any medical devices that rely on electricity?' I said 'no' He answered 'Well I cannot switch you from the PAYG service then you'll have to find a supplier who can do it for you'
I have no energy debt, good credit record and am on the electoral roll.
Is this correct? and does anybody know of a supplier that will get rid of the PAYG and put me onto a monthly direct debit.. I thought it would be so easy to do but am now just confused with the whole thing.
Any help would be super appreciated, thank you in advance.
