Sounds like Fluid is your only option at this point, truly a case of better than nothing. Again, don't just apply straight away, head to Fluid’s site directly and try their eligibility calculator. I think you need to also be prepared that the limit will be far less than you need.

Honestly, I have been there in the exact spot you are with multiple cards and nowhere to transfer it too. It's time to start thinking about where savings can be made so as much money as possible can be poured towards your interest-bearing debt.

My solution was to get rid of Live TV packages and TV license and use only Netflix, YouTube and on demand services, move onto PAYG mobile and switch every single service I had to the cheapest deal such as broadband and Gas n Leccy. Another big saving for me was switching to having my weekly shop delivered, it’s amazing how much can be saved by not having the temptation of various goods shopping in store.

Thankyou, I have received an email tonight that the Halifax transfer has not gone through to the Tesco card now, so im now worrying why this is happening too.
I don't have a tv and am just finding everything difficult now as my partner left last month and now I'm paying in full for everything when I have no money or work.
I am on the cheapest electric and wifi. My heating & hot water went wrong 2 days ago and today the engineer came out and turns out I have run out of oil, which to no surprise I cant afford either.
I feel so hopeless I don't know what to do anymore.
I don't even do a weekly shop maybe just once a month but I'm hardly eating (once a day) due to my circumstances to be honest.

I have been over to the debt free wannabe forum, but I don't see anything on there that can help me right now. Like, I have no money so theres no answers is there?

I would recommend contacting a debt charity such as step change. They can help you with advice or a plan of action. If you have no way to service your debt, then it will have to default and be paid off slowly, albeit with an impact to your credit worthiness. You aren the first and will not be the last to face such times, but you can get out the other side!

ok thankyou. I am now looking on their website.
It's so horrible I feel like I'm about to fall into a deep dark hole and can't stop it from happening or see a way of resolving it.
    Thankyou for the advice.

Think stepchange is your best bet, please don't pay credit cards in favour of not eating. Credit Cards are not a priority debt, its not great defaulting but often a default could be the way forward in the short term.

RE the transfer, I have had it fail on me before, i tried again manually and it worked. How much did you transfer? Another possibility is that you attempted to transfer too much. With a balance transfer there will be a fee to pay on top of it, so you may only be able to transfer a maximum of say 97% of the total credit card limit.

Thankyou Again. Ok on the email it suggests trying to do the transfer by calling them once I physically receive the card which I don't have yet.
I tried the maximum it said I could transfer (considering the fee included) which was £2325.

Have you checked to see if you're entitled to any benefits? If in doubt post on the benefits board and the members will guide you.

Also do post on the debt free board, they are a great help and offer wonderful support.

Yes, though I only found out about them this month so I do not get any payments until 20th which is after all my bills need paying unfortunately. I am only entitled to Universal Credit.
My council tax has also been discounted.
    Thankyou
  • First of all don't panic Vixmilo - and certainly don't pay your credit cards at the expense of eating.  Post a Statement of Affairs on the Debt-free board and the really helpful folks there will point you in the right direction.  It IS scary, but as soon as you address your situation and see a way out - it WILL get better.  I wish you the best of luck.

Ok, please post on the debt free boards, only bills you have to pay are gas, electric, water, council tax, rent / mortgage, anything else isn't a priority debt, unless you've a loan secured on your home.

The DF boards will guide you through everything.

The old style boards will help you with food ideas.

Both will point you in the direction of getting hold of food.

You can't go through this alone and members will pass on so much information and knowledge. For the sake of your sanity and stress levels please take that extra baby step.
