Morning, Hugs if you need one.
Its blooming cold, even though the sun is shining. The coffee mornings at the little chapel are due to re-start this morning, not quite sure how, but we will see.
Chap came to re-fit the bottom to the boiler which was left off after it was serviced, DB was about to go into the wet room for a shower, a few seconds later and it might have been a bare all moment.
I am still plodding through cleaning the kitchen cupboards, I have one small bottom one to do before tackling the wall cupboards. The worst wall cupboard to do will be the one where I store tins etc. I know there is stuff in there which is going to have to be binned.
I called time on Niblets quilt yesterday, it is going to be long arm quilted, I have managed to pull a muscle in my side trying to get it through the machine. So last night I unpicked the three very long rows I had stitched, I need to take it apart and iron it, then parcel it up and send it off. I will never ever make another large quilt. Once I have done the one for little miss, which will be a LOT smaller, its mats, table runners etc from now on.
Supper tonight is a freezer dip, beef casserole with veggies. Dessrt will be what ever I can find in the cupboard.

Morning all
Bright and sunny here but so cold I have put the heating on to warm the house through. Yesterday OH cut the lawns and we put some wild flower seed on one part of the lawn out the front I am hoping to turn it into a wild flower garden for the birds and insects etc I hope they grow, we also cut a bit off of the plum tree 2 big branches which were dead I dont know what happened but I hope the rest of the tree survives.
We then went out with the dogs and did about three miles we stopped for a picnic lunch on top of a hill with the most amazing view but it was so cold, dd was shivering and her nose was bright red so we had a quick kunch and walked on, once we got indoors the snow started and snowed off and on all night it was so cold, we were very graeful to have the fire roaring during the evening.
OH is bak at work today and dd going to a meeting this morning so I will take the pups to the local park and see if my dog walking friend is there, I will wrap up warm though as its still so cold.
Not sure about dinner tonight will go and look in the freezer after this.
Have good days all, and good luck to Snoozers Steve for tomorrow xxx11 -
Taff, sorry for confusing you, technically a quilt is a sandwich of layers that is then stitched together to make a quilt. It usually consists of a top (which is quite often patchwork) some sort of fleece or batting in the middle and a bottom layer. I enjoy making patchwork tops but not so much the layering and quilting stage which is why I've got so many tops waiting for that stage. I love looking at a beautifully quilted top but I think I shall acknowledge that it isn't my forte and just go for very simple quilting on the ones I've got waiting.12

Morning
Wasn't it in the late 20's this time last year? Grief it's so cold my extremities are only just defrosting. Heating on here too which is disappointing ..the grabbing energy companies must be opening the bolly
I have been on a mission with Sky this morning and a morning of negotiation resulted in a £1 saving a month which doesn't sound much but you should have seen what they were trying to put it up toto save my precious £1 I have given up sky cinema but as I have netflix and prime it was never used anyway. They threw in box sets so thats me sorted for another lockdown.....god forbid
Usual jobs to do today if my blocks of ice called hands and feet finally normalise.
Fancy sausage mash and a load of onion gravy tonight
Have a good day all11
