Paid on a credit card refund e-card

I purchased my turkey in advance on line and paid with my credit card.  Turkey was not as it should have been but instead of refunding to my credit card I received an e-card.  In view of lockdown decided to purchase clothes on line using e-card as part payment.  Unfortunately had to return and again company issued e-cards even though part of my purchase was again on my credit card.  I was only refunded in part and the additional voucher I had on top of the e-card was not reimbursed .  I had a difficult time getting the rest reimbursed but again was given e-cards and only partly reimbursed to my credit card .Again thought as I was isolated better use.  Sent further order and and although my order was sent back in the two packages I received goods in in the same day as receipt, was only partly reimbursed and again the amount returned was in e-cards. As I ordered and paid with my credit card and payment was made to my card, I feel it is wrong that companies can choose not to refund your money to the original payment method.  Will think twice about doing on line shopping with what is supposed to be a reputable company again having tried to complain by email fir my emails to be returned undelivered and could find no email address to contact company or complain.
