Guidance on Investment Strategy
Some advice / guidance if at all possible
27 Year Old – Male- Living with Parents
Want to mention here that I am in a fortunate position that I have gifted to me a deposit for a house from my grandparents when the time comes so I don’t really need to save a deposit for it.
Banking & Savings
- 3K in a monthly saver due to mature next month
- Billing account has enough to cover the rest of the years Direct Debits
- Take home pay is around £1300.00 which includes deduction for Work Place Pension etc
- Pay £50.00 a month into a private SIPP as my Work Place pension isn’t great and this is on their mission to improve this once a merger completes
Investment
- Approx. 6K in an investment ISA invested in SW Managed Growth Fund 6 which has produced approx £400.00 interest over the last year
- Approx. 2.5k in Lloyds Banking Group Shares held in my Share Dealing account with a current profit of around £500.00 – this is carried over from my days working in the call centre and when I left I carried these over
My question –
I have just opened a Stocks and Shares ISA and would like to transfer my investment ISA over into this one and potentially consolidate my investment into a more global based fund like HSBC Global or a S & P 500 Tracker. Put If I do this and cash in my Lloyds Bank Shares this could give me a pot of around £8.5k and I could comfortably put aside 300 – 400 each month into this s and s.
Any thoughts on some nice funds to look a bit closer at or thoughts on moving away from my SW Managed Growth Investment ISA / Lloyds Bank Shares?
I know I could go and ask a FA this and pay him/her a few quid but reading these forums for a while, there is really some nice guidance and thoughts gave out.
Appreciate all the help.

It isn't an interest paying fund.

Its a US equity fund. It makes a good satellite fund for your US holding. Not ideal by itself.
