Nokia 1 Plus unlocking from Vodafone

I’m trying to help my friend who bought a Nokia 1 Plus mobile last year, which she bought from Tesco. Unfortunately she hasn’t been able to get it unlocked from Vodafone; she doesn’t want a contract and just wants to pay intermittently so doesn’t want a monthly pay as you go set amount (with Vodafone it only allows monthly payments). She has tried to get it unlocked from Vodafone, but to no avail and wonder if anybody can advise how this can be done.

You need to contact Tesco according to the Vodafone unlock page. Alternatively there are plenty of unlock sites (although some are dodgy) / Ebay or maybe a trusted local phone shop will offer the service.
