Ticket insurance (booking for event)

I'm planning to book soon for a UK event in June 2021, but I will lose the ticket cost £100 if I can't attend or if it's cancelled. They do offer insurance at a price. Please could anyone recommend a reliable, good value provider of ticket insurance? Or, equally useful, please tell us any to avoid? Not sure yet whether I'll need to insurance the cost of accommodation as well. Don't need transport insurance, as I'll drive there.

Not sure what's going to count as "good value" - obviously the risk of things being cancelled in June is pretty high, so I would expect any insurance to be pretty expensive compared to the amount insured, especially for low value things like this.

I can understand losing the ticket cost if the event goes ahead but you are unable to attend for personal reasons, but if the event is cancelled surely the ticket cost should be refunded.  Or am I missing something?

The most likely scenario is postponement (they postponed 2020's conference and re-scheduled it for 2021). I think it's an expensive event for them to organise, so my worry is they'll postpone at the last minute (instead of cancelling) and hold onto my £100 ticket money. I know it deson't sound a lot, but I'd prefer not to lose £100.

Fair enough, but how much do you think a third party is going to want paid to take on the risk for you, given it sounds like quite a likely scenario?
