British Gas - No way to get refund
I have transferred away from British Gas who have given me my final bill. I am over £400 in credit and would like to get it refunded but cannot find any way to contact them. Every time it says to contact their live chat but there are no working links to their Live Chat, nor is there a phone number I can phone. How can they be so elusive?

That's a new one! Not there for any of the twelve previous attempts I made to contact them.
Do you think it will work any better than any of their other "get in touch" option links?

You would have been able to claim the credit balance back on your online account before you closed the gas account (i.e switched away.....but that would have involved you working out what credit you were in) but once the account is closed that option is no longer available. They normally automatically pay back the credit balance within a few weeks after the final bill. If oyu need it sooner you'll need to contact them using the methods in the previous post.0
