Do I have to pay full ground rent on my holiday home even though we were not allowed on the holiday park during lockdown ?

    The short answer is yes, the long answer read your contract, but almost certainly yes.

    There are numerous threads about this. In practical terms quite a lot of your charges will relate to storage of the van and provision of security etc. I'm told that there is some guidance which suggests that charges relating to services not provided (such as entertainment etc) should be refunded but very varying action by the different parks.

    Ground rent is payable under the lease you signed when you purchased the property. Not a negotiable cost unfortunately.

    Yes, students are having to pay rent for student accommodation they're not allowed to live in.  It's just another "one of those things" due to covid.

    Yes. However, we got a large refund, from Haven, just keeping back cover for security, gardening and staff working onsite. None this year though, but we wouldn't have used after Christmas until last month, anyway, because of the mandatory closing period.

    Haven was part of a big group, but smaller site owners (perhaps a farmer letting plot with electricity , water and sewage disposal or sites with 20 or so plots) when interviewed by the media, said it was a case of no refund or closing permanently, thus incurring moving costs, which are quite high.
