Electorial register and moving house

Hi.
Heres a thing thats puzzling me. Im moving house and due to exchange soon. Like most Im relying on a mortgage and in a chain mid way. As the validity of my mortgage offer is reliant on me being on the Electorial Register, should I wait until after completion before I inform the Electorial people? Seems to me that doing that between exchange and completion might causes issues with the mortgage offer.
Advice is welcome.

Don't overthink it.
The mortgage lender don't want to lend to people not on the ER because that's a basic identity check.
Once you've moved, just go through the normal procedure to change your registration to your new address, along with everything else.

Why would you be informing them before you move anyway? You should only be registered at the address where you actually are, not where you hope to be at a date in the future.1

How long is there between exchange and completion? A week or two? Just wait until you've moved in.

It can take up to three months for the registration to take effect anyway. We moved last August but when we registered onto the electoral roll we had a letter saying it would take effect from 1st Nov. I had no problem getting past credit checks for broadband and utilities in the meantime.1

Thank you all. I am moving on my own with no family or connections to help me out, so cant afford to make any mistakes basically. I can stop thinking about this at least
Thanks again.
