3 wins in 11 years of comping... but a thank you!

I've just been reflecting on this forum, having entered a load of competitions this afternoon.

I'm just about to reach my 11th year of being a member here. I seldom post, I mainly lurk and enter the competitions that many take the time and effort to kindly share. Sometimes I find a competition that I think looks great and that I will share, only to find somebody way more astute than I has already setup a thread and posted it, such is life!  Nevertheless, I just thought it prudent to take a second to say thank you to this entire community. 

To everybody who goes out of their way to crack puzzles and crosswords, listen out on radio for cash amounts, buy and skim countless magazines, scour the Internet, put themselves through ITV Daytime programming ( ) and contribute in any way to this fantastic community resource... thank you very much. I often add a 'Comp-liment' to a post to acknowledge it but really felt that after all these years of being a part of this community it was time to say a big thank you.

Although I've recently widened the comps I enter, in my 11 years I've not an impressive win record as many of you; I've won £500, a turban (don't ask...) and a travel umbrella. I'm hoping for a few more wins this year, I feel it's about time I find some luck!

Lovely comments, and I add my thanks to everyone who posts competitions on here.  Like you, I've been doing competitions for many years (before the internet and social media!), and it is much harder to win nowdays but I still enjoy entering, because the buzz you get when you do win makes it all worthwhile.
