Ebay purchase

Hi.
I purchased an item with a 12 month warranty that has now broken. The item was refurbished not brand new.
This was a company on ebay.
When trying to claim on the warranty the company has written back saying they are no longer trading because of coronavirus on a permanent basis. I get the feeling it's a one man band type seller not a massive company.
Where do I stand?

If it was a limited company that is now dissolved then I don't think you have anyone to claim against (one man band can be a limited company).
If they have a limited company which is still active you can pursue it but would need to establish whether the company has any assets.
If the seller was a sole trader as far as I know liability still lies with them.
Do you have any details for the seller, name, address?
