Morning all
Very bright and sunny here but brrrr very cold too !! I have stripped the beds this morning and got them on a hot wash they should dry well today, OH will re-make them later.
We had a lovely walk yesterday in the sunshine around a local nature reserve harbour I think it was just over 4 miles, we sat in the sunshine and had our picnic lunch it was very pleasant, most of the time we were walking in t-shirts as it was so warm.
Today will be much the same as yesterday a walk with sandwiches and coffee although we will have to wrap up today as its much colder.
Chicken salad and mash tonight so nice and easy.
Have good days all xx10 -
It sounds as if most of you had a lovely day yesterday. We were very quiet and I decided to take a break from the spring cleaning. I started trying to decide on my next sewig project but am lacking inspiration. I have 6 patchworks tops made that need sandwiching with batting and a backing fabric and then quilting. I might send one of them to be quilted professionally because it's very big and a complicated pattern, so still 5 for me to do. Sister-in-law has asked me to make her a table runner so I might do that to get me going again.
Steve's feeling quite a bit better, he's done his Covid test and now we're isolating till his op on Thursday. I'll take him down and go on to Laura's for the afternoon. He worked out where I can drop him because the hospital is just inside the congestion zone but I'm not sure what will happen when I pick him up. Hopefully he won't be too bad as the op is done under a local anaesthetic.
I hope all the poorlies have a good day and happy birthday to dp1's mum (my mother-in-law was like that about her age). She would have been 100 this year if she hadn't been killed by a medical mistake (prescribed a drug for 7 years that she should have been on no longer than 1 year, no follow ups and Dr dismissed her concerns when she told him she had symptoms listed on the drug side effects, it destroyed her lungs).

Hello all, I had a lovely lazy day yesterday.I spent the afternoon in the garden reading and getting tanned, it was so hot I had to change into lightweight trousers and a strappy top. I would have put my shorts on but they are still hidden away somewhere, so finding them and putting them ready for washing is my task for today. I hope I don't put the kybosh on the weather and then they won't be needed at all for the rest of the yearTea yesterday turned out to be a chicken salad, it was too hot to cook any chips. Today I need to use up the last of the chicken and put the carcass in the food caddy. The bins need to go out tonight, seems our council are working through the bank holiday.I had a visit from someone's cat too, found it lying on the rug inside the patio doors. Must have crept past me while I was sitting on the patio......... cheeky thing !Scarlett I'm glad you can hear now. It's a horrible feeling when your ears are blocked.TA sounds like you had a raucous time yesterday and Sparkle had to tell you off when you returned 😂.Nels thanks, it's on Friday this week. I have the latest episode of L.O.D and a psychological horror film to watch today. Hope the hands are getting better.taff That's my kind of grass cutting..... just thinking about it 🤣Take care all, stay safe and well. Hugs to anyone in need.nan xxFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently11

Hello all, it is still morning here, so for once will try and finish posting before noon.
Snoozer pleased that Steve is feeling better and that you have the route sorted out for the hospital drop.
Nanny sounds like a great day yesterday.
TA chocolate withdrawal symptoms today? poor Sparkles having to tell you off LOL
Ruby your walk and picnic sound perfect.
Nelski I hope that you can get your hands thawed out, mine are not cold, but so so painful and I keep using a wheat bag on my lap and tucking my hands under it when I can.
Gers you seem to be winning with the great pantry clear out, I hope that your DM has a good day today.
Sorry no more comments on earlier posts, if I try and go back further I will loose the lot.
I have been out weeding and sorting the garden a lot while it has been sunny, but no more for a few days I think, it has been trying to snow all this morning. Need inspiration for supper today, but tired and lacking in oooomph. I shamed OH into cooking yesterday, he volunteered egg and chips when asked what he was cooking for us, perfect I really enjoyed a simple meal, even though yesterday was rather light on fruit and veg.
Hugs and spoons to all that need them, take care all.The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)12 -
Morning all, rather cold here and we have had snow but it has melted away now sand the sun has come out.
I made a casserole yesterday but OH had to put it in the oven as tge pan was too heavy for me to lift.I'll make southern fried chicken tonight, with salad and we have some coleslaw to use up.
Other than a bit of cooking, I'm not doing anything today.
Hope everyone has a good day.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back10
