Gas Bill Question?

hi so im not all clued up with this sorta thing, i live in a studio flat but mostly stay at girlfriends, my gas usage over the past year has always been around 45KWH (quarterly) but my new bill says 551KWH Is this alot will this be super expensive, please help thanks

Was it all estimated readings over the year and this is a catch up bill? Or did you send monthly readings in so it's been accurate all year?

i pay my bill every three months and i give my reading every three months

Put this in context 551kWH  is about £17 - it's been a cold winter at times
