Sense check re antenna cable

Hi, I’m just needing a sense check please before I order these!

I have a smart tv on mount quite close to wall. Will need an aerial for Freeview but previous owners had Sky so the existing cable leads from the sky dish.

if I buy these, should I be able to plug the cable into tv, route the cable towards the window and connect to the antenna’s cable?

I’m just not 100% on the female adaptor and don’t want to have to return items if possible.

Thanks in advance for any advice!

Are you expecting a strong signal where you live? If so that may be fine, the connections should work but will lose signal strength more than the screw together type https://www.toolstation.com/proception-f-plug/p56253 however for digital TV the signal is generally either strong enough for a perfect picture or not and unwatchable, so poorer quality connection doesn't necessarily make any difference.

TBH, I have no idea what "BIPHI connector" means and google doesn't help. However,  the 'Product description' says "connect the end of attached coaxial cable to the ANT/IN connector on the back of the TV or Digital Converter Box". If this is correct, then the female adaptor will work.
Do you really need 'gold' and right angle? Simple extension cable is £7 at Screwfix - the same 10m. Philex F-Plug Coaxial Cable 10m

That said, personally I'd rather install a normal TV aerial in the loft or on the wall. In the latter case if you install it near the dish or instead of it, you, most likely, can use the existing cable.

What make is your tv? I had the same problem here until I realised I could plug the cables from the dish straight into the tv and get Freesat instead. Problem solved!

Thanks for your answers! I’m just under 30 miles from the transmitter so had looked at that particular extension as it says up to 50 miles - I’m not sure what kind of signal quality to expect to be honest. The tv (Techwood) is very close to the wall on the mount so I thought the right angle would be best, as I’d need to buy a new mount otherwise.

(the mount I got is supposedly universal but actually covers part of the area where hdmi, usb bits are, but I don’t expect to use them so can live with it provided I can get an aerial connected!).

I’m in a first floor flat so was hoping to avoid having to get a professional in to attach an aerial if possible.

I’d googled as to whether I could use the existing cable from the dish but it’s a different connection (wire poking out of the end) and apparently you need some kind of box to make that work?

I’ve never had to set a smart tv up before hence being a bit lost. Really appreciate your answers.

The connector is very easy to replace or, most likely, you can find an adaptor

In my previous flat I had one on a bookshelf, I was second floor flat and it was really pretty good but it was very susceptible to the weather and buzzy moped delivery drivers going past and I found I had to realign it depending on whether it was winter or summer. Brought it with me to my new place (first floor flat) and it was unusable, even though my Antenna Alighner app says I'm 3.9 miles from the nearest transmitter. I was stumped at what to do until someone on another thread here mentioned they had dish cables in their new place and what to do with them, and someone suggested getting a Freesat box. I have a fairly recent Samsung tv that has a port for satellite cables to plug straight in so didn't need to get a Freesat box. This is the one I had - https://www.amazon.co.uk/SLx-Directional-Amplified-Integrated-Installation/dp/B00D76GSBE
