Had new worktops fitted and day after bubbles appeared at the joint contacted fitter immediately, they didn't turn up for two weeks, then said I had wet it ,I hadn't, after they cleaned it I left it incase of corona germs .They agreed it needed replacing, saying they didn't have the money to do it ,I gave them 4 months grace but not heard back from them ,how do I proceed .

If you paid by credit card then S75 claim is worth a try.
Failing that, small claims court (online)0 -
How did you pay? Hopefully credit card...ellie14 said:Had new worktops fitted and day after bubbles appeared at the joint contacted fitter immediately, they didn't turn up for two weeks, then said I had wet it ,I hadn't, after they cleaned it I left it incase of corona germs .They agreed it needed replacing, saying they didn't have the money to do it ,I gave them 4 months grace but not heard back from them ,how do I proceed .
I would write to them giving them 14 days to get in touch and arrange to replace the worktop ASAP as per their agreement on <date>. If they don't get in touch, then contact credit car company to deal with it.
If you didn't pay with credit card, you will then need to start a court claim against them which is stragit forward. You need to look up "letter before action" e.g. make it clear to them that unless they do what they said, then you will take legal action to reclaim your costs.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0
