One would think that entering the same data into comparison sites they would all come up with the same result.  Not a bit of it!
Here are my results in the SE with an annual projected spend just over £1000pa - dual fuel monthly DD
Citizens Advice & Which were the same, were cheaper than any of the others.
In order of best to worst (excluding cash back)

Citizens Advice/Which:                 1
Money Saving Expert                    +7.75%
Topcashback                                  +13%
Compare                                         +13.5%
Uswitch                                            +14%

One wonders why?  But don't get suckered by cashback, its often not worth it............

It's because you're not making optimum use of comparison sites.
To get accurate results, you should enter your annual kWh usage derived from actual meter readings.  If you just tell them how much you've spent then they have to guesstimate your kWh usage and that's not an exact process.
Even less accurate if you only tell them the type and size of the property and the number of occupants.

You're making assumptions, last 12 months KWh and house etc were all included., so please edit your post as it misinforms - it was comparing like for like.  believe me!

As you completely failed to mention kWh but said you had 'an annual projected spend just over £1000pa', no other conclusion could be drawn, so your post needs to be edited !

Cashback and the fairly common referral malarkey should be banned from energy supply entirely, imho.
All it achieves is making it harder to make a level comparison, for some.
Comparison sites providing you with their version of "information",has to be paid for by somebody somewhere.
On the other side of that though some of the comparison sites are cheaper than going directly to supplier quotes.

Money!  I'm guessing you used the profit making sites in their default mode where they only show deals that give them a financial kickback?

I've been a quidco member since it was created, but I've never had a penny of energy related cashback.  The cheapest suppliers are the cheapest because they're not adding on the cost of incentives.
