So I have finally bitten the bullet and opened a Vanguard SIPP and invested a preliminary 10k in their global all cap index fund. It's great for you guys that can but just wondering what the logic behind it was.

Well as NHS dentists we have a contract with the health board, but file our own self-assessment tax returns. We are in their pension scheme because we provide NHS services.
