Car charging cable trip hazard and liability?

Yes that is indeed a concern. Thank you for the suggestion, I think we'd probably go for something more permanent and fixed if we opt for a fence of some sort.TELLIT01 said:The trip hazard sign would probably be enough to prevent the OP being used. However my bigger concern would be one of the these people tripping over the cable and damaging either the cable or the connection to the car.Could something like this be used to block the gap? https://www.scottsofstow.co.uk/expanding-wooden-fence-just-under-2m-wide/0 -
Yes I maybe should have done this from the start, but before OH decided to get the hybrid, people cutting across just seemed like a small irritation, not worth making a fuss about. We get on ok with the neighbour, but he knows that I don't like people doing it, and has done nothing to discourage his visitors. In fact he cuts across there himself sometimes. Obviously we'll be having a word when we know exactly where the charging unit will be fitted, but I think a physical barrier is definitely going to be needed.MovingForwards said:You can get wooden planters with built-in trellis, the small one should fit and provide enough of an obstruction. Although in your situation I would be parking my car closer to the wall and also telling people not to cut across my drive.1
