Looking to learn sign language - for free!

Our school has a specialist deaf unit and is also linked to a childrens centre. Parents are often invited to sign up for lessons in sign language although not sure which version is offered...

CACDP, which administers most of the UK BSL exams, has just developed an online level 1 learning support section which has a Deaf teacher signing. You have to register to go into the full section:

When I was studying in Durham, there was a sign language course running in Newcastle that I wanted to do. Unfortunately, the dates changed and the course clashed with my final exams, so I never got the chance to learn BSL!

The interesting bit about my story, is that the course would have been totally free. It was open to all members of Trade Unions and their family and their friends.

I'm not in a union, but my father is.
