    Not quite: If they don't provide such an address, then rent is not due.  Were I a tenant I'd know what I'd prefer landlord to do.

    My tenancy agreement was sent to me by email and digitally signed. 
    The law is such as to protect tenants with the facility to provide written notice to the landlord, mailed to the landord's address for notices as stated in the tenancy agreement. The level of protection is such that if the landlord does not provide an address for notices on the agreement, then rent is not due. OP should be guided by the tenancy agreement if any other ways of issuing notice will be accepted.
