it is a myth though that someone on 70k would typically have no debts. those earning 16k can only dream of that amount but as you earn more you spend more. no chippie on a friday but a meal in the west end. the fiat goes and you get a bmw. the two bedroom house becomes a 4 bedroom house. the holiday to butlins becomes a holiday to barbados, the 2k debt on a credit card becomes a 20k debt and so on.3
