What about:
It would be advisable to replace both plug and socket as a pair to ensure a safe connection. If you do you must make sure you replace the socket with a socket and the plug with a plug, so you don't end up with exposed live pins.2 -

Its a 2 part plug connector
The small part is what gets attached to the cable and then slides back inside the outer housing1 -

Yes thats the Black and decker type connector
I was thinking of putting the plug end of one of those on the mower and then using one half of this to convert to the Flymo type
