Hi i had a phone call today totally unexpected from someone saying they was calling from DWP regarding my son PIP claim as he is currently on DLA . That’s possible too, I do think they try to avoid actual assessment due to being 16 and applying for essentially a adult benefit. By the time they called me they had already contacted the medical consultant. My call was a fact finding call. It may be that they were trying to gather enough information to avoid assessment. But either way wish you well as it’s a drawn out stressful process.
