I had a missed gas and electricity meter appointment missed.. can i get a GS payment for both meters
please can I get a little advice.. I had an appointment for a gas and electricity meter exchange which they missed. The exchange was cancelled but I was not giving sufficient time therefore eligible for a Guaranteed Standards payment.
i was told by the advisor that i could claim for a Guaranteed Standards payment on both meters. I have since been told that I would only receive 1 missed GS appointment payment as the ‘appointment’ was booked for both meters to be exchanged on the same day .
Can an appointment be for both meters or can I show that they should be paid GS per meter.

It is a bit of stretch to expect to get 2 payments for a single missed appointment.0

What was the exact monetary loss you suffered due to the cancellation? Will the single meter payment cover that loss?0

The advisor told me i would receive a GS payment for each meter.
She wrote this in the notes (i have obtained SARs).0 -
I was wondering where (what regulation or any legal legislation) that says I can only receive payment for the appointment rather than how many meters. I know some companies have information informing customers about missed appointments, but i just wanted to know if there was official legal guidelines.0

The standard is to make a payment for a missed appointment without sufficient notice, you only had one appointment, so you don't get compensation for each of the different jobs that were to have take place during that appointment. Here is the relevant legal text:"(6) Where an appointment is agreed in accordance with regulation 3 (appointments) for more than one purpose, the supplier is not, in respect of that appointment, required to make more than one standard payment in respect of any failure to meet a relevant individual standard of performance under regulation 3.
