Just as well it's not your DPC as it's in the wrong place. Should be next to the external skin.1

You still want to use a mechanical fixing regardless of sticking method (foam or dot'n'dab) - https://www.screwfix.com/p/timco-insulation-fixings-90-x-8mm-100-pack/297kf (but use one with a plastic head).That Aeogel stuff, whilst pretty good, is darned expensive. Your call if you think it worthwhile.
