Morning, hugs if you need one.
So first of April, usual bills have gone out of the bank except the rent and CT. So the new spread sheet balanced....phew....
Not such a nice morning as yesterday, a bit grey, we are off out shortly to the nursery to pick up some bits DB wants. Think it will be a coat morning. I have some gift vouchers to use.
Went over to chat with my elderly neighbour yesterday afternoon, she seems to have deteriorated quite a bit more, to the extent she is thinking about sheltered housing. Our houses are supported living which different.
Supper tonight will be bacon frittata with salad, will sort out something for dessert.10 -
Good morning everyone.
Chilly and dull here after the two previous beautiful days. I had a productive day yesterday, into town for cash for the gardener, ordered some things that we needed, a good session on paperwork as I needed to listen out for a delivery and then a lovely spell in the garden in the sun. Took a lazy option for tea and fetched a take away Chinese meal, the first since before lockdown one. After we had eaten we took a cuppa outside and sat chatting and enjoying the evening, I did have a blanket as I am a cold thing.
Awaiting deliver today of dog food and a new carpet shampooer, the one I have is enormous and I just cannot push it around anymore, so fed up with asking OH to do it (he says he will and then conveniently forgets LOL)
Sending all good wishes to Gers and her DM, hugs and spoons to all that need them, take care. The best thing about the future is that it comes one day at a time. (Abraham Lincoln)12 -
Morning all, yes grey and dull & windy here too, we were spoiled briefly with the sun for the last 2 days. I am meant to be meeting my niece for a walk- I haven't seen her or the kids since July.I've had a good tidy round, some admin for DH, now just having a browse until I know what time to go out.The rest of the flags were delivered yesterday - I counted them to make sure they'd sent the right amount this time!.DH mixed some concrete to start levelling it all out, as the current crazy paving is all over the place. He can only do a third at a time as we need to keep it dogproof. So the first 1/3 done , had a look this morning and saw 2 sets of cat prints
.They must have some on their paws.
Chicken Kievs and chips tonight, nice and easy if I'm out this afternoon.DS2 and DGC stayed for tea. They were good- no squabbling! I'd bought some new paint pens and they repainted some of their rocks from last year.Hope you all enjoy your day- hugs to the poorlies x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Hi all, more cards need to be made - April is a busy month for Birthdays.
Pleased that it is a bit cooler today as the crochet blanket is now big and bulky on my lap as I work on it.
I made a double bed size one for a Christmas present a few years ago - working on it in a hot August was a slog but I wanted it finished in plenty of time. Pleased to say recipients loved it.

Afternoon everyone
Had a quiet day yesterday as I still didn't feel well after my jab - happy to say I feel fine again today , just a bit tired and still a very sore arm.
Little one stayed last night - she woke me up at 7 this morning shouting 'Granny Biscuitcat is in mine room he's a nuisance sometimes' . Her speech is amazing for a 2 year old and she remembers every word she hears ( some she shouldn't repeat!)
She wanted to go on a bus, so we went down to Asda by bus this morning which was very exciting - when she pressed the red button she shouted 'stop bus please' and waved to all the ladies. We bought her some more knickers - I've discovered that pants for very little boys are actually thicker cotton and have better elastic round the legs than knickers for little girls - so she's wearing boy pants. Great- gran loked horrified when I told her!
So we went to play at great gran and grandad's then home and she's now napping - though I don't know how as every child nearby seems to be going past by house shouting. I'm going back down to dad later when mam goes for her second jab.
Youngest DD ( little one's mum) is waiting to hear whether she has to go back to hospital to go on a drip as she had blood tests this morning and the doctor thinks she is dehydrated. She is having such a tough time at the minute - I wish they would just keep her in and find out what's wrong with her.
Well I'm going to make myself a cuppa and sit in the sun - no doubt my little friend will wake up to join me as soon as I make it!
Take care everyone
