that  sounds like legal times to be working. and presumably the longer they work the quicker the job gets done.

Well I am a noise sensitive autistic student so I normally like a stress free Sunday to do my course work but the noise been way too much. Also I am meant to be shielding so can't go else where. Just wondered if had these issues and how they recovered them

Have you asked why they are having to work so late?  It may be a short term thing due to some earlier problem.  You could also check the planning permission given to see if it mentions restricted hours or work.

    Shielding ended today

A good pair of ear plugs/headphones might help somewhat

this was published last year - you could check they have the required permissions - but if they have, not a lot you can do to make them stop

Your local council will/may have limits on hours for noisy work eg:
    "Restricted hours
General construction work should be restricted to the following hours:
Monday to Friday 8am to 6pm
    Saturdays 8am to 1pm
Noisy work is prohibited on Sundays and bank holidays"
https://www.royalgreenwich.gov.uk/info/200205/pollution_and_noise/654/noise_from_building_works#:~:text=General construction work should be,on Sundays and bank holidays

Although the builders may have successfully applied for an extension/exemption

My previous council in Surrey stipulated no noisy work on a Sunday with using machinery. I don't know if all councils are the same.

My local council only allow noisy building works up until 12.30pm Saturday & not at all on Sunday. Weekdays noisy work has to end by 6pm in residential areas, so check your council's regulations on this.
The bigger the bargain, the better I feel.

I should mention that there's only one of me, don't confuse me with others of the same name.
