Warm home discount British Gas saying I have had it but I have not

Can anyone help or guide me as I think British Gas are ripping people off
i got granted the warm home discount but I never received a letter or anything so I chased them up to be told a letter was sent on 3rd March and they gave me a code to take to the post office which I did and it did not work , I contact them again and the lady said go again as a letter was sent to the post office with my name and address on , I ask her what post office and she said my local one, I said I have been to my local one so she said go to another on as a letter was sent , I said to her so you are saying that a letter is sent to a post office but you can’t tell me which one she said just go try them , I’m now pretty much going mad so I tried one more post office to be told the code is no good and British Gas don’t send letters. I done a BG chat and they ended it rudely so I phoned them to now be told they don’t send the voucher in the post due to Covid (I know people who have had the vouchers in the post) and things are put on the meter , the guy says I have had this payment on the 8th February to which I said I have not and would have notice if it was on my meter. He said how it works is when I make a top up in a shop it would have added the £140 with my topup , this did not happen so I said to himyou are saying my topup and the £140 would be on the card he said yes so I have him for my transaction and they were 4th Feb £40 8th Feb (£140 he says this was thgrant but as you see there is no topup from me) and then on the 12th of Feb £20 and the 22nd of Feb £40. I tried to say to him what he said that the payment would be with my normal top-up and it is only showing the £140 , I do not know what to do now as I think there is something funny going on here as I have had this payment and the guy says it is showing on the 8th of Feb, so I said to him I top up on the 4th with &40 and then you say my meter is showing the £140 on the 8th and then I top up again on the 12th .
i think that British Gas must be taking advantage of the scheme , I don’t know who I go to but I have not had this money and said I would like it investigates but he said that can’t be done as the screen is showing him my meter had that money , Nate in mind I have been given 3 different stories

    AND it is British Gas, not British Gas Evolve?

    The letter would go to you at your address, so maybe the letter has been used by someone else?

    You can ask for a breakdown from your meter top ups. Ask as a complaint and get it in writing.
