My ssp will finish soon but I will still be getting paid from work. I have been told I can apply for new style ESA whilst getting paid from work. I will not be carrying out any work. It will be over the £140 pw. Is this correct?

The £140 pw limit is for permitted work. This is work that you are engaged in while claiming ESA. It's basically meant as a stepping stone back to full time employment for someone who has been unable to work due to illness or disability but who wishes to try out some work. It does not apply in your circumstances as you are not working due to illness even though you are employed and are still getting a wage. Your wages do not affect the amount of ESA you will receive though, as ESA is taxable, your tax code for your employment will alter.
