Recruitment websites

Hi all
Does anyone here know any decent websites for finding workers? I've tried Gumtree and it didn't work at all, I've also tried Indeed and my experience with them wasn't great, it costs too much and their "free" service doesn't seem to work well. Any suggestions other than those two, or any general advice regarding recruitment would be appreciated.
Cheers

I suspect a lot depends on your sector, and the kind of workers you are looking for - casual / ZHC, full-time, part-time - and the skills / aptitudes / qualifications you are looking for.
Does it help if you ask yourself "If I wanted this kind of job, where would I look?"Signature removed for peace of mind2 -
Hi are hi are you a LinkedIn user? Good place to find people if you already have a network there1

Are there forums or trade associations for the type of trade or business where you are looking to recruit? If you find something check their rules to be sure that advertising in this way is allowed before you post.

Try Indeed. They have lots of job opps in different areas, you just have to register and they'll send you regular emails. They are pretty good, in my experience.

Why not try the job centre website
Find a job (dwp.gov.uk)
Can't imagine they charge Employers for using the site!
I've had some pearls from there - it certainly has landed me at least two jobs from last year on it and I've an interview next week for a rare and unique 20k local job from it, so never say never.
Personally and probably strangely, I also look for jobs on f???book too but not sure how you go about advertising - whether you had to have company page on there and then by posting a job vacancy, it links into job section. Or maybe you could also just join up to 'your towns local page' and post.

Job Centre MAY work for individuals looking for jobs, but in my experience it works less well for employers: if you're prepared to sift through a heap of applications from people who are required to apply for X jobs per week, regardless of whether they are qualified for or interested in the job, then go for it.Signature removed for peace of mind2

I've always used Gumtree and it used to work well, but it's not the same anymore, don't know what happened to job ads on that site.

I'll give it try, I'm looking for a hair stylist, not sure if it's a site that they use.

Yes there are such forums, I probably should have posted there first, but my question was more to do with what sites people on this forum use generally for posting ads for jobs.

I've tried Indeed's free service, I had a few replies for the first few days and then it stopped working really, they want me to "sponsor" the ad by £10 per day to essentially make it work again!
