But you may stay, when you find something give notice expiring done 1 to 2 months later. Me, I'd see if landlord was willing to "encourage" first before giving notice.

Don't go, do nothing, see what landlord does next. Probably some 12 months to evict given the mess Johnson's made of the court system .
Of course landlord might be willing to £££££encourage you to go. I'd want £5k upward but I'm a greedy landlord.theartfullodger said:That's sadly the consequences of Thatcher's 1988 Housing Act section 21. Sorry. Also why buy2let became so popular after it all came into effect.
My reading of the comment about the "little bit of help", "rental history" and dog was simply that they could not find another property, not that they'd been issued an s21 in the first place.
The issue with finding a new property is most likely to be the dog, not the UC claim or the landlord's reference.
Playing hardball with a landlord who needs to sell for financial reasons, to the point of getting a possession hearing thrown out so that they can stay, is not going to help any future property search.1 -
I had the same problem with the same history. Try sourcing a property through OpenRent (usually will be talking directly to LL's) but I always took my budget and bank statements with me to show them I managed money responsibly and put rent before anything else. Otherwise there will be a need to apply for social housing at some point. As said, there's no reason to panic right now.0

Oh, they can find the money. Alternative is not attractive for them.
Good luck!0
