Hi guys, just wanted to let you know Tesco finally have an eligibility checker for their credit cards, if that's of any importance to you.
They sent me an email saying based on what they know about me, I've been provisionally accepted and I noticed there is the eligibility checker too.

I use the Tesco Bank Your Community boards and made this suggestion a good while ago so it's great to see that they've managed to add it to their website.
It's not your credit score that counts, it's your credit history. Any replies are my own personal opinion and not a representation of my employer.1 -

It's about time they had this feature still better late than never, now HSBC could do with sorting out an eligibility checker for there credit cards.
Time is a path from the past to the future and back again. The present is the crossroads of both. :cool:1 -
Yeah, I think there was an article even on MSE about Tesco and HSBC still not having eligibility checkers. Though I remember HSBC did have it 1-2 years ago because I used it. Not sure why would they remove it later.

I think This Is Money also had an article last spring about it. But then they put one on the site only to take it off at the start of 2021. Don’t understand why.Alex9384 said:Yeah, I think there was an article even on MSE about Tesco and HSBC still not having eligibility checkers. Maybe it's simply that in the current economic climate HSBC don't see pushing their credit cards as a business priority?

I used it a couple weeks ago, but it very long winded, every text field is on a new page.0 -

I used the Tesco one today, really simple, easy and quick, was given only 40% chance of acceptance. Already had a card with them but on a poor interest rate so thought I'd chance it and was accepted instantly, decent interest rate, full length 0% balance transfer and purchase lengths and a decent limit. You can also transfer limits over from your other cards with them once you have received the new one.
