insurancesafe

renewed my wife's driving license today via the .gov portal and have somehow been scammed by insurancesafe for £93.00 !!! how is this possible on a 'secure' government website. we have been advised by our bank there is nothing we can do. we have even been given a transaction number by the dvla!

    It isn’t a scam , it is a bit misleading but these sites do tell you they are third parties- and it’s always cheaper to do everything via the correct Gov. web site.

    What the OP and others are presumably doing is putting the URL into a search engine rather than their browser's address bar:
    (and then not bothering to read much on the website they click on)

    was it maybe "licencesafe" website that you went to?
