Read the small print ask many questions and ask re costs and ask when if any payments take and why card details requested if it free - you should then get most of the answers

Just came across this thread. For what it's worth, as someone who regularly participates in Oracle Girl events and has done for a few years, I'm happy to confirm this is not a scam or a cult. Participation is entirely voluntary, there is zero pressure to sign up to anything and you can choose to donate whatever you like - or not, it's up to you. I hope this is reassuring for the OP.-1
