Tiling quote for hallway floor

Options
Hi
We are currently looking at new flooring for our hallway, living room and dining room and were initially thinking engineered wood flooring throughout. However, we really like the idea of victorian tiles in the hallway as its a victorian property and we have been trying with the decor and features etc to maintain its character. We contacted a tile company that specialises in victorian tiles and they give us a quote of £1073. This is for the tiles and all materials including grout, adhesive, fibre boards, levelling compound etc (its floorboards underneath so will need flooring on top). They put us in touch with a company for a quote for the work and after coming out to measure up and inspect they gave us a quote of £1205 for labour - this is to take the old flooring up, lay the fibre boards and leveller, tiles, sealant, grout etc. Our hallway is 4.57m x 0.91m and the pattern we have chosen is a standard black and white chequered pattern. Does this seem a good quote?
Many thanks

The quotes seem about right, both for materials and labour. There more labour in laying small format Victorian tiles, although a standard chequered pattern with no borders and 100mm tiles will not be much different to most many tiling jobs. We paid £2500 recently to have large format tiles laid through hall and kitchen of our Victorian house. We couldn't afford Victorian tiles over this area. I think the price was going to be well over £5000 for the design we thought would work well and look like the floor the house would have had originally, so your quote does look reasonable. I don't know a lot about the fibre board system. Our floor was levelled with 18mm plywood.
