Equifax - URGENT HELP to cancel today!

Options
Hi,

I'm not sure whether this is the right place to post this, if it isn't I apologise.

Anyway, my problem is that I subscribed to the free 30 day trial for credit watch gold with Equifax http://www.equifax.co.uk/ the trial runs out tomorrow, 9th December. As they are closed over the weekend I am unable to ring them and cancel the sub. I searched their site and can't find a way of cancelling online. Obviously if I don't cancel this before tomorrow I'm gonna be hit with the charge. Anybody else had this problem and how did they resolve.

Thanks

As you've left it so late, you'll have to hope they'll be kind to you on Monday. If you set up a DD with your bank you could try cancelling that so they can't take the money?

I didn't think it would be a problem to cancel as long as I was within the 30 day free trial.

Thanks for the link. It appears they don't make want to make it easy for obvious reasons.

if you paid by card you could report your bank card lost and it will cancel the card.
make sure you withdraw money for the weekend 1st though ;)

Thanks for the info. I've just looked at my sub and any under the renewal part it's blank. I seem to remember having an awful lot of trouble in trying to sub online as my card wouldn't go through (Electron) even though it was required only to enable charging after the trial ended. In the end had to do it over the 'phone. So I'm a bit confused now whether the report they issued was a one off or a sub.

equifax took money from my husband and I for a year direct from our cards. we wrote, emailed and phoned and they just didnt stop. We had to cancel our cards in the end - then they had the cheek to write and complain because they couldnt take money anymore.
