Wowcher retailer - Avoid Black feather scam company who sells ceramic portable fan heaters

Hello
I ordered a heater from Wowcher from BLACKFEATHER retailer. Total incl postage came to £34.78. I did not get any package tracking from BLACKFEATHERThe item was shipped to me in just a box ie no outer secure wrapping (I have photos). Hermes damaged entire box. I contacted BLACKFEATHER for a return label. This took 3 days. Was shouted at by someone called Michelle. Nobody in BLACKFEATHER was helpful. Took 3 long days and got return label. Parcel delivered circa 8th March. Collected by hermes 12th March. Inexplicably hermes bought heater in worse damaged box on 13th even though it was a return.
RINA M a asian female owner shouted at me on the phone. Is not interested in refunding me
So item was returned well within 14 days but BLACKFEATGER RINA M have ceased all comms with myself and even Wowcher themselves after I opened a case.
BLACKFEATHER RINA M have broken the law in regards to my statutory rights for a full refund. They failed to provide tracking both for delivery and collection.
What is next step?

Avoid BLACKFEATHER and RINA M. Nasty scam company. I intend to follow all legal avenues.

Key as always here is did you buy a VOUCHER from Wowcher ??
Or did you pay BLACKFEATHER RINA M directly for the order .

  • I redeemed a voucher.
    First time I used Wowcher.

(BLACKFEATHER RINA M have broken the law in regards to my statutory rights for a full refund. )
Then issue an LBA   letter before action/ claim ( google for templates ).
14 days to respond then next step is Small Claims Court

(They failed to provide tracking both for delivery and collection.)
No obligation to provide tracking unless you paid for it .

Complications as always as paid for with a voucher refund should be a voucher .

Yes, you need to ask them for a voucher (credit note) to spend with them at a future date, as that is what you paid with.
  • Thank you both.
Yes I had to pay postage costs.
No I paid for the item by card (but paid it to wowcher who then gave me a voucher to redeem with the retailer). It is the first time I used wowcher.

So you need to chase Wowcher for another voucher to the value of £34.78 to be spent against something else. You are not entitled to a refund as you purchased a voucher which Wowcher supplied.

Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)
  • Wowcher are chasing the merchant for this value of refund.... I am copied into the emails...
I opened a case with wowcher against the retailer.

I hate to say it, OP, but you haven't actually said whether there was anything wrong with the heater.  Is there?  Or is it the case that you've discovered the same thing is being sold by legitimate outfits at a third of what Blackfeather are charging, feel silly and wish to send it back?  I've had a look at the Blackfeather site; they are comedians when it comes to pricing.
