Good morning and thank you for starting the thread nmlc.
Gers, thinking of you and your mum and glad that she had a better day yesterday.
Dumpling, sorry to hear about your poor legs, hope they improve soon.
I pottered in the garden yesterday and will probably potter more today. Not easy with only partial use of my left arm, good job I'm right handed.
Hope everyone has a good day.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back13 -
Morning all
Lovely bright sunny day here I have a wash on the go which will dry well today.
DD and I took the pups to the beach yesterday it was a beautiful day and the dogs loved it we had a bit of a scare though when two men with no dogs followed us they got faster and faster till they were right behind us, I put little pup on her lead as you could pick her up and run if you wanted to, and I said to dd lets go up on the bank and wait for them to pass, they passed us and stopped abruptly and came right back towards us
and stood feet away, I was ready to put up a fight and had made a plan with dd that she would run (the dogs would follow her) while I would swing the lead towards them, they stood on the bank for a while and then followed us again, there was a man coming in the opposite direction towards us with dogs so I stopped him and told him what was going on, he was furious and waited with us for a while till the other men carried on, we then continued with our walk which was about two hours and then as we approached the car park they were still there just hanging around, they were highly suspicious and I phoned the community police man when I got back, I felt so uncomfortable and un easy I am sure they were up to no good, none of us will be going there alone from now on.
We are going to take the pups to the park today as its quicker and I am going up to mums later to continue jet washing her patio, her garden got in a right state and she has had a man in to cut her hedges back etc and my sister and I have been doing bits out there, I did most of the patio a few weeks ago so just need to finish it., its looking so much nicer for her.
Lasagne for dinner tonight which dd is going to make, I love lasagne but hate making it for some reason, I think its because its quite faffy to make.
Gers im glad mum managed to eat her lunch, it will give her some strength xx
Dumpling thinking of you and your sister xx
Have good days all xx11 -
Morning all, lovely here but not that warm (yet! I live in hope ) I have a butchers delivery today but not sure what time - don't want to miss them by going in the back garden. The new flags didn't get delivered yesterday.DH had one call to say they'd be half an hour so he sent DS2 over to help shift them, then rang again to say it would be today so we'll see!Dumpling sorry your legs are bad again.Your sister sounds very positive, which can only be a good thing.Gers glad DM had a better day, well done GNiece- sometimes it only takes a phone call ,letter or email to make a big difference to someones day.Snoozer, it's hard for you when they've been living with you isn't it.When DS2 moved into his own house before Xmas we no longer had the DGC staying overnight twice a week, now it's pick up from school and sometimes a quick tea here before going back to his.We have been going over there on Saturday mornings most weeks, but DGS resumes his football this Saturday so not sure what the plan is.dp1- hope you feel better soon.Enjoy the good weather while you can & have a good day x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Back from my appointment, went in the back way as its Market Day and the town gets a bit congested. Waved into a disabled spot no problem, in jabbed and out by 9.45. Came back round the edge of town, the centre was quiet but there were floods of people coming out of the cattle market, a lot of them not wearing masks......it makes me so angry. they seemed to be what I call the inbetweeners, 20 up to about 40. No wonder the rate is going up in Melton.
One parcel arrived, delivered by Yodel, we are still waiting for yesterday7 -
