claiming working from home tax relief

I've been trying to complete a claim for working from home due to covid, but have totally confused myself with the HMRS website.
I have followed MSEs  HMRC micro-service link, but get lost trying to navigate through the sites questions. If its a simple 5 minute job, I've failed to day (I cant find the screen shotted page asking when you started working from home).
Is there a step by step guide? or can somebody tell me what I'm doing wrong?
thanks
My £2 savings total for 2007 = £92, for 2008 = £124
My savings from money off coupons for 2007 = £67.97, for 2008 = £194.79
My £2 savings for 2009 (so far) = £130
My savings from money off coupons for 2009 = £593.08

  • How to claim yours

People can find out more and make a claim at gov.uk/tax-relief-for-employees/working-at-home.

I have 100% used the correct information buts its not having it. I have 2 attempts left.

Did mine the other day and it did only take a few minutes.
The date question is after you have logged in using the Government Gateway.
If I I recall correctly the setting up of the User Id did take a bit of effort when I set it up a couple of years back.

    First things first.
Have you set up th Government Gateway? or is that what you are having problems with?

I can't fill the page in because I complete a tax return but I suspect it would really help if you describe the navigation you are following and what happens. Without that I don't think anyone can help with the issue.

    Where does the problem occur?
Can you explain what you are answering and where it stops?
