Ebay seller sent wrong item

I bought an item based on description and photo on Ebay listing. It arrived this morning and is not the advertised brand plus is nothing like the photo, so not even a good substitute.
I want to return it but I must apparently pay the postage. Is this correct? It's the seller's mistake in sending out the wrong item, so I don't see why the buyer must pay for that.

Due to seller trying to take advantage I would also, once all this is over and you have your refund (not before) leave a non positive to warn other buyers- but do ask on here about wording to avoid saying anything that means it could get removed.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards.
