Payment for car

I'm thinking of buying a second hand car from another part of the country, and organisibg to have it delivered by a delivery company, but what would be the best way to pay? Bank transfer doesn't seem very safe in this situation.

Are you worried about it being the wrong destination account?
If you're worried about the vendor taking the money and doing a runner without delivering your car, why are you buying a car from them in the first place?0 -
Are you using a delivery service that actually checks the car for you?
I've used a guy that does this service for motorbikes before, he will video call you when he goes to collect the bike and give his opinion about condition etc.
At that point you transfer the money to the owner, takes seconds, and he loads it up and takes it up the road for me.1 -
