Hard credit check by TSB, not by me

I have been told by credit karma that TSB have run a hard credit check on me. This was as a result of someone opening an account in my name! I have no association with TSB. I tried to report it to the TSB fraud team who were worse than useless. They would not even log it after approx an hour waiting on the phone. They then transferred me to a number that cut me off. I also noted that my date of birth was out by a day on the credit check. I have raised a dispute with Trans Union but I'm somewhat horrified by TSB's reaction and it would appear that they are condoning or at least aiding fraud to take place.
Any ideas how to escalate this so that TSB at least check and confirm that no one is opening an account in my name.

    The first thing to do is to log into your credit karma app on your phone -  scroll down to 'View my full report' - when you click on there - you should get a popup on the bottom of your screen labelled 'raise a dispute' - click that - read through - and follow their instructions. It'll take a while to investigate - but it puts the dispute with the right department.
