Hi, after some advice- I invest in VLS 60 at the moment, I have been reading about dividend funds and

FTSE All-World High Dividend Yield UCITS ETF(VHYL)- would it be beneficial to add this to my monthly deposits?

Why do you want dividends? If you don't want to spend them then there's no need to take the higher risk of high dividend payers.

Is your investment strategy one that focuses on yield or total return?

Personally I'd prefer active funds over passive if I was targeting higher dividends, but I'm not sure that you should be targeting them. There are lots of articles on the internet about investing in good dividend payers, just as there are about investing in smaller companies or emerging markets or eco-friendly companies or growth companies or tech companies or high moat companies etc, etc, etc.
What is it about dividends that has particularly piqued your interest over the many other factors that you could instead have come on here to ask about?

If you wish to increase your equity exposure (and correspondingly reinvested dividend income)  then switching to VLS80 may well be a better option.

VLS60 is definitely not a bad fund for you to start with so don't feel that you have to rush into anything - many people will no doubt go through life with little else. I'd advise coming back here (and the pensions forum too) on a regular basis and reading the latest topics as you'll get a good feel of many of the subjects that will no doubt interest you given your signature and get a range of opinions as opposed to the sometimes partisan views of particular sections of the internet.

My retirement portfolio is heavily invested in dividend-paying funds, as I am drawing down on my pension, and holding some dividend paying funds means I can reduce my transaction charges, as I never need to sell them.
The comments I post are my personal opinion. While I try to check everything is correct before posting, I can and do make mistakes, so always try to check official information sources before relying on my posts.
