Howdens paintable kitchens - any use?

We are looking to order a new kitchen and are looking at going with the Howdens Chelford handleless range. None of the standard colours really appeal to us so we are looking at going with the paintable range. Has anyone any experience of the paintable kitchens? We would be painting them ourselves prior to our fitter (family friend) installing them.
