Replacing the plaster that joins patio roof to wall

I’d like to smarten up the front of my house, starting with the point at which the sloping patio roof joins the wall (photo attached). The plaster (or whatever it actually is) is cracked and crumbling. I have no idea what to replace it with if I did it myself or if it’s a job for a professional.
Would be grateful for any advice on how to go about it!

Ideally, it should be replaced with lead sheet let into the the brickwork behind the rendering. Not a DIY job. There are fairly large cracks in the render, so I would check the soundness of that first, as maybe the job should go with some rendering or repair of same.

On the to-do list this year is to remove the mortar, chase a slot in to the brickwork and install some real lead flashing. A bell cast will be added over the top and the area rendered to match the rest of the house.Budget is around £500, but it will be part of a much bigger job.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

A patio with a roof. It's an interesting concept.1

We had similar on our old house and had led flashing replaced, I can’t remember how much it cost now as was a few years ago but I don’t remember it being particularly expensive, just a pain to find someone to do it as it was such a small job to them 🤷♀️1
