Hello
Just after some advice on what to do with these walls before redecorating. We've stripped off wallpaper which had been put on top of 2/3 layers of paint including some unknown Black paint. Bottom half has been replastered due to damp work already. Wondering if to polyfilla, sand or completely replaster (or something else?!) before repainting?
Any advice welcomed.
Thanks

Yes, you will need to fill using a fine filler, then sand back. You could use Polyfilla, I prefer Gyproc Easifill.
Also try using the continental style of filling knives, I find they're much easier to use for jobs lie this.

I'd never heard of continental style filling knives but after seeing the photo's realise they are the type the plasterer was using in our house today.
